My work consist largely of landscapes - big outdoor scenes in national parks and wilderness areas. But in late June, 2006, I spent a weekend in San Francisco and shot intensely urban scenes for three consecutive days. Lots of people, moving vehicles, challenging lines of sight and tricky lighting. Everything was shot for cubic with a fisheye lens. This shot symbolizes to me how much this work differs from my usual - very tall buildings all around, interest right to the zenith. I usually shoot cyliunders because all a cubic would add would be more sky and more dirt. This shot is at the corner of Bush and Montgomery in the Financial District.
