Panoblogging live from Photokina!

The first day at Photokina has been a great success, with lots of visitors looking at the panoramic prints, VRs and three gigapixel prints. The talks and workshops have also been well attended.

The big news, however, is that the pano-blog is now up and running - search by day, location or photographer.

Photokina 2008 - IVRPA (International VR Photography Association)

Hi all

As you might know in about one week from Tuesday 23th September 2008 to Sunday 28th September 2008 Photokina takes place in Cologne/Germany. The IVRPA will have its booth (in hall 9 stand A050-B051), amongst others like Fotocommunity, the biggest online photographic community and PlusX award.

Daily Panoramic Workshops
Free panoramic tutorials and workshops will take place every day at the IVRPA stand at 13:00 and 15:00. Learn about shooting and stitching panoramas, finding the no-parallax point and try out different panorama heads.

The Next World Wide Panorama Event

As our planet whirls through space it once again approaches a position halfway between the mid-summer and mid-winter Solstices, that place and time we call the Equinox. Day and night will be of equal length at all latitudes. For the northern hemisphere summer officially ends and autumn begins, south of the equator goes from winter to spring.

To celebrate this auspicious point in the space-time continuum we invite you to participate in the twentieth edition of the World Wide Panorama.

Final round of the 2008 contest

The interactive category for the contest is finally open! The interactive category is the last 'leg' of our Photokina contest. The planning for our presence at the largest photography fair in the world
is shaping up nicely.

The last day for submission to the 'Interactive' category is Sunday September 14, 2008. Entries are closed September 15, 2008.

IVRPA contest 2008

The IVRPA Board of Directors is pleased to announce a series of contests, with the goal to showcase the work of IVRPA members at Photokina 2008; The largest event in the Photography industry worldwide! Like the previous editions of this biannual event, the IVRPA has secured a booth at this great event.

Winning prints and interactive images will be displayed at Photokina 2008 in Cologne, Germany from September 23 to 28.

VRMag 30 is available

Issue 30 is up, with a whole bunch of good content, including a series of interviews with the team behind the effects in Speed Racer.

IVRPA Member's Chat - 15th April 17:00 UTC

VRMAG is back!

VRMAG, one of the VR industry's institutions, is back after a small hiatus. From Marco Trezzini's announcement:

You're just a click away from VRMAG's relaunch issue 28:
the most complete ever published with 45 articles, 11 contributing
writers and panoramas from 29 contributing photographers.

In addition to the simplified and interactive panorama navigation we
added a panoramic leaflet, as a new navigation method to access to
the articles. VRMAG also has a new blog and a Yahoo group.

A Euro flavor to IVRPA
